Re: My Story, not (his)story.

Buying a house can be a daunting task. At the end of the day, it’s a personal decision even though you can never seem to get enough advice. Then there is that frightening next step, the realtor. Oh my God!! The very name conjures heartless, sly, preying, margin gatherers with little or no morals that wedge themselves between the seller and buyer who speaks faster than their memory can keep up. This is usually the frightening chaotic atmosphere that the prospective first time home buyer finds themselves … between the devil and a realtor. Then on the other side of the coin you learn of persons who got the deal of their life through a realtor. Only trouble is, with a little home work you come to realize they are either related or a friend of a friend, in short such buyers has inside protection. So, the question is what to do? Well, you educate yourself, read books, talk to attorneys, people who have gone through the process, and go slow, at your own pace, certainly not the realtor’s pace.

Notwithstanding any of the above, every cloud has a silver lining, and a few bad apples do not describe the bunch more so the entire tree. There are those few persons who inspire confidence, not by their words but rather by their very presence, action and body language; persons who in whatever sphere of endeavor, recognize the immutable laws governing life and therefore live for the greater good. I do realize they are few and far between BUT they are there! The middle road of being reasonable and fair to all concerned, though less traveled is never the less traveled.

Consequently, the whole business of buying real estate can be a win–win situation for seller, buyer and realtor. That is, the seller is able to liquidate their asset in a timely fashion, the buyer acquires the property at fair market value and the realtor(s) is/are adequately compensated for bringing to fruition the entire transaction. The realtor who sells a home contributes to the materialization of the collective dream and aspiration of a family and by extension becomes family to its occupants, in contrast, the realtor who sells a house merely for profit is nothing but a hustler. Most of them are downright crooks, thieves and vagabonds.
On the 17th of April 2009, Ester sold me a home. With the patience of Job, she walked me through the process and was there at my beck and call whenever there was a problem or something I didn’t understand. She inspires confidence and made me feel comfortable all without the dreaded pressure of the sales pitch. Without having to do frustrating leg work of finding competitive Bankers, she put me in touch with the right lenders and followed up even when I dropped the ball. Consequently, the overall experience was a resounding plus for all parties. My buying experience was made possible and pleasant through the knowledge, skill and integrity of Ester Joseph. I thank you … we thank you.

Best Regards
Vince.
